New Overpass Opened in Zangiota to Reduce Traffic Congestion

On October 3, a new railway overpass was commissioned in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region, situated between the Sobir Rahimov and Ortaovul stations. The structure was built to replace an existing railway crossing.

The new overpass consists of a double-track railway bridge spanning 23.6 meters. As part of the project, 1.2 kilometers of railway and roadway were constructed, and 800 meters of the overhead contact line were relocated.
Additionally, roadways, pedestrian walkways, and drainage systems for rainwater and snowmelt were installed in the area. The construction process involved 60,000 cubic meters of earthworks.

This new facility provides greater convenience for Zangiota residents and vehicles passing through the area, helping to reduce traffic congestion, save travel time, and enhance road safety.
