New Opportunities Emerging for Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and the USA — Saida Mirziyoyeva

On October 19, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, visited the Registan Square in Samarkand alongside U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, during their conversation, Rubio highlighted the significance of Samarkand as a centuries-old hub for international trade.
Mirziyoyeva noted that the fact that the U.S. Secretary of State’s first visit to Uzbekistan is taking place specifically in Samarkand carries symbolic meaning. She further stated that new opportunities are opening up for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States. The U.S. delegation, led by Marco Rubio, also includes representatives from over 100 American companies.
