New Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkey takes office

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Ilhom Haydarov has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkey. On June 16, Ilhom Haydarov arrived in Ankara and presented a copy of his credentials to the representative of the Turkish Foreign Ministry. He began his official work as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkey. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ilhom Haydarov replaces Alisher Azamkhodjayev, who has been serving as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Turkey since 2017.
