Netflix to release a new Cinderella adaptation

Netflix is releasing a new animated film titled “Steps,” which reimagines the Cinderella story. This time, the events are told from the perspective of Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters. In the plot, Lilith accidentally turns her sister Margo into a frog and is forced to join forces with Cinderella to save the kingdom. Daniel Radcliffe has joined the project to voice the role of the prince. The film also features Amanda Seyfried, Ali Wong, Stephanie Hsu, Peter Dinklage, Yang Mazino, and Bette Midler. According to directors Alice Tzue and John Ripa, the film breaks traditional fairy-tale molds and aims to portray each character as a multifaceted figure. Radcliffe’s performance helps create a new character that differs from the conventional prince seen in fairy tales.
