Ulan Japarov, nephew of Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov, was arrested. About it 24.kg reported.
The head of the press service of the president, Dayirbek Orunbekov, confirmed the information. Ulan Japarov was arrested along with other defendants in the criminal case.
The 32-year-old accused is the son of Sadir Japarov's cousin.
"He was arrested by police officers. There are also private entrepreneurs and customs officers in this business. I note that Sadir Japarov earlier warned that everyone, regardless of their acquaintance-knowledge and kinship-will answer according to the law for their actions,” says Dayirbek Orunbekov.
Ulan Japarov was arrested in Bishkek and placed in the No. 1 investigative insulator.
"According to preliminary data, a criminal case was initiated on this case under the article ‘corruption’ of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this case, an investigative action is being carried out by the HIV Investigation Service,” the message said.
The president's nephew will be held by court order until July 26.
