President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a briefing for media representatives after the negotiations.

The head of our state expressed gratitude to the President and people of Russia for their warm welcome and hospitality.

The leaders noted that they held meaningful talks, discussed in detail all directions of Uzbek-Russian relations, and defined new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation. They noted that bilateral multifaceted cooperation is at a high pace, significant results are being achieved in all areas.

It was confirmed that the aspiration to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation and bring it to new heights is firm.

The President of Uzbekistan drew attention to the fact that not only quantitative indicators are growing steadily, but also qualitative changes have taken place in the trade-economic and investment cooperation between our countries. In particular, raw materials used to make up the majority of trade, but today 70% of trade is made up of high value-added products.

In the field of investment, the weight of innovative projects in the light and chemical industry, automotive and machine-building, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors is increasing.

Special attention was paid to the issue of providing social guarantees to our working citizens in Russia.

It was noted that the tourist attraction of Uzbekistan is increasing among Russian citizens. It was shown that the flow of Russian tourists has increased by 20% since the beginning of the year.

The parties agreed to mutually organize the Days of Culture, Art and Literature in 2024-2025.

The importance of further expansion of bilateral relations in the fields of culture, education and medicine was said.

The presidents noted that issues of combating traditional and new threats and dangers, primarily terrorism, extremism, organized crime and drug trafficking, remain in focus.

The parties expressed confidence that the agreements reached and the signed documents will serve to further develop strategic partnership and alliance, and strengthen friendly relations between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Russia.
