Nearly 80,000 passengers fined for fare evasion on Tashkent buses
Since the beginning of 2026, 79,618 passengers have been fined for failing to pay their fares on Tashkent buses, according to the Ministry of Transport.
Each offender received an administrative fine of 41,200 Uzbek soums (one-tenth of the Basic Calculation Amount). The total amount of fines collected during this period reached nearly 2 billion soums.
The Ministry of Transport noted that inspection campaigns on city buses are ongoing and urged passengers to pay their fares on time.
