Nearly 30 killed in US tornadoes

At least 28 people were killed in powerful tornadoes that struck Kentucky, Missouri and other US states. 14 people were reported dead in Kentucky and 7 in Missouri. About 5,000 buildings were damaged in St. Louis.
Dozens of tornadoes have been seen from Colorado to New Jersey since May 15. More than 800,000 homes and businesses were left without power due to the severe weather. More than 30 million people from Texas to Illinois were bracing for more storms on Monday.
