Navoi city administration used AI to prepare photos of neighborhood improvements

Social media users had questioned whether photos published by the Navoi city administration about the results of the “40 Days of Intensive Work” campaign in the Hayot neighborhood had been altered using artificial intelligence.

The administration’s press service confirmed that AI elements were indeed used when preparing the photos. The purpose was to present the actual improvements in a more visual and higher-quality way. However, the prepared materials were published on social media without being sufficiently reviewed.

The administration apologized to citizens for the incident and the public criticism it caused. Employees responsible for preparing the photos were warned. It also announced that oversight of the administration’s information service would be strengthened to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The administration emphasized that actual landscaping and improvement work had been carried out in the Hayot neighborhood. To confirm this, genuine photos and videos taken in the neighborhood were also published. Public representatives were also invited to visit the neighborhood and assess the completed work themselves.
