Murder at a funeral: brother shoots sibling over inheritance

In Istanbul, a man was shot dead by his own brother during their mother’s funeral. According to reports, the brothers Mustafa and Mehmet Mutlu got into an argument over inheritance after the burial ceremony. The dispute escalated, and Mustafa Mutlu pulled out a gun and shot his brother in the head and stomach. Seriously wounded, Mehmet Mutlu was taken to hospital, but despite medical treatment, he later died.

The suspect was arrested at the scene. It was reported that he had 10 prior criminal records for intentional bodily harm. An investigation is underway.
