On June 11, a fire broke out in a cemetery under St. Michan's Church in Ireland, destroying five historic mummified bodies. The fire was extinguished by Dublin Fire Brigade and the area was made safe, with no injuries reported. The suspect was arrested by the Irish police and a criminal case was opened. Earlier, in February 2019, vandals broke into the church and decapitated the 800-year-old skeleton of a crusader buried in the basement of the building.
