Mubashshir Ahmed detained in Istanbul

The chairman of the Azon Foundation, founder of the Azon Global portal, Mubashshir Ahmed (Alisher Tursunov) was taken away as a suspect from his home in the Bahçeşehir district of Istanbul on May 8. The Azon Global portal reported this. An interrogation was held that day with the participation of his lawyers, and it was planned to transfer him to the Deportation Center and release him on May 9.
However, despite the fact that four days have passed, the Immigration Department has not informed either his lawyers or his relatives about his location, health, or condition.
Azon Global asked to rely only on official sources in this regard and not to pay attention to unfounded reports. The portal added that according to Turkish law, the family of a person under surveillance must be informed about this and the person himself must be allowed to communicate with his relatives.
