Mubashshir Ahmad sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison

Today, on October 8, the Uchtepa District Criminal Court announced its verdict against Alisher Tursunov, better known as Mubashshir Ahmad.

According to the court’s decision, he was found guilty of inciting national and religious hatred and distributing illegal religious materials. Under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

Tursunov will serve his sentence in a general-regime colony.

Additionally, his social media channels — “Mubaşşir Ahmad” and “Azon Global” on Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, and YouTube — will be suspended and blocked.
