Mubashshir Ahmad is wanted

Alisher Tursunov, known by the pseudonym Mubashshir Ahmad, is wanted. He is wanted under Part 1 of Article 244 of the Criminal Code (establishing, leading, participating in religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other prohibited organizations).

In August 2023, Mubashshir Ahmad announced that the “Azon.uz” website he founded in Uzbekistan had ceased its activities. After that, in November, he launched the “Azon Global” portal, which operates in Uzbek, Russian, English and Turkish.

We recall that on December 28, 2023, Alisher Tursunov was taken from his home by Turkish police and placed in the Binkilic deportation center in the Çatalca district of Istanbul province. On February 21, 2024, he returned to his family from the deportation center.
