Mubashshir Ahmad accused of a serious crime denied

On February 19, a message appeared on social media that Mubashshir Ahmad was wanted. The press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shohrukh Giyasov, announced that religious scholar and blogger - founder of the information and analytical portal "Azon Global" Alisher Ahmadovich Tursunov was wanted under Part 1 of Article 244-2 of the Criminal Code (Creating, leading, participating in religious extremist, separatist, fundamentalist or other prohibited organizations). This information was denied by lawyers and it was reported that a technical error was made in the dissemination of information.
As it turned out, Mubashshir Ahmad is accused of failing to comply with the procedure for preparing and distributing religious materials for his posts on the Telegram channel. The court rejected the prosecutor's request to detain him in absentia.
