In the southern Italian region of Apulia, about ten armed criminals attempted to rob an armored cash-in-transit van. First, they posed as police officers and followed the van in a car. Then they blocked the road and created a fire barrier by setting a truck ablaze.

The criminals blew open the van’s door using military-grade explosives. A shootout broke out between the robbers and security forces who arrived at the scene.
