Mother burns child's hand after eating candy without permission

In the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region, there were reports that a mother burned her son's hand after he ate sweets at home without permission. It turned out that the incident occurred on October 30, 2024, when the woman burned cotton between her fingers and other body parts because her 8-year-old son ate sweets at home without permission. As a result, the child suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns and suffered minor injuries. A criminal case was opened on the incident, and a wanted person was declared for her because she was hiding. On February 7 of this year, the woman was detained in a procedural manner and a preventive measure of detention was imposed on her based on the relevant court ruling.
If the charges are proven in court, the suspect may be sentenced to 360 to 480 hours of compulsory community service, or correctional labor for a period of 2 to 3 years, or restriction of liberty for a period of 2 to 5 years, or imprisonment for a period of up to 5 years.
