More than 600 objects are planned to be built in Khujand by 2026. This became known during the working meeting of the chairman of the Sughd region, SugdNews reports.

According to the source, at the regular working meeting of the chairman of the Sughd region, Rajabboy Ahmadzoda, issues of preparing the city of Khujand for the 35th anniversary of the state independence of Tajikistan, construction and reconstruction of jubilee facilities, as well as improvement and cleanliness were discussed.

As Mayor of Khujand Firdavs Sharifzoda said at the meeting, by 2026, according to the approved plan, it is planned to erect more than 600 objects. In 2022, 202 facilities were commissioned.

“The residents of the city are actively involved in the process of creative work. They contribute to the improvement of residential areas, streets and avenues,” said Firdavs Sharifzoda.

Analyzing the situation, the chairman of the region instructed the head and responsible persons of the city to expand the process of construction work. It was especially noted that the city of Khujand has every opportunity to attract tourists and the number of foreign guests visiting historical and cultural places is increasing every year.

“Taking into account everything, it is necessary to pay due attention to maintaining cleanliness on the streets and avenues, the use of auxiliary areas, the architectural and decorative design of buildings and facades, the convenience of parking lots and the movement of vehicles,” said Rajabboy Ahmadzoda.

Along with this, responsible persons were tasked with strengthening measures to maintain public order, prevent offenses and educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and love for the motherland.
