More than 5,000 Uzbeks repatriated from Middle East

More than 5,000 Uzbek citizens have been repatriated from the Middle East following the escalation of military tensions. The Ministry of Transport reported this.
Since February 28, flights to Dubai, Sharjah, Medina, Doha, Jeddah, Tel Aviv, Tehran and Kuwait have been canceled due to the closure of airspace in a number of countries. From February 28 to March 2, 1,681 citizens were unable to fly.

Based on the presidential order, a special headquarters was established and special flights were launched in cooperation with resident and foreign airlines. So far, 4,948 citizens have been brought to Uzbekistan from Medina and Jeddah on 21 flights, as well as 235 from Dubai.
The Ministry of Transport asked citizens to clarify information only through official sources of airlines and not to contact unknown intermediaries.
