More Than 20 Celebrities Detained in Türkiye as Part of a Drug-Related Investigation

According to the NTV television channel, another large-scale detention of celebrities has taken place in Türkiye as part of an operation targeting illegal narcotics.

Following a raid in Istanbul, a total of 22 people were detained, including well-known Turkish actors, musicians, and bloggers. Pop singer Kenan Doğulu and actress Beren Saat, known for her roles in the TV series Forbidden Love, What Is Fatmagül's Fault?, and Magnificent Century: Kösem, were taken to a police station. The list of detainees also includes actor Yenis Arıkan and DJ Kerimcan Durmaz.

It is worth noting that anti-drug operations have been underway in Türkiye since the beginning of October. One of the most high-profile incidents was the detention of Hande Erçel, the star of the TV series Love Is in the Air. However, her test result came back negative. Earlier, more than fifteen people were detained during raids conducted at twenty locations across Istanbul. İbrahim Çelikkol and Aleyna Bozok are also under investigation.
