In January-September 2025, 664.6 thousand children were born in Uzbekistan. Of these, 343.6 thousand were boys and 321 thousand were girls.
52 percent of births were registered in rural areas, 48 ​​percent in urban areas. There were 23.5 births per thousand inhabitants.
As of October 1, the country's population reached 38.07 million people. The largest population lives in Samarkand region (4.36 million), and the smallest in Syrdarya region (942.6 thousand).
