Monument to "Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur" to be erected in the city of Babur, Andijan

The President got acquainted with the presentation of creative projects in various fields. The presentation considered the project of a magnificent monument dedicated to the great statesman and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur as part of the architectural ensemble planned to be erected in the city of Babur, Andijan region. This monument is being created to honor the memory of the great ancestor, convey his rich scientific and literary heritage, statehood thinking and contribution to world civilization to the younger generation. The President was informed about the sketches of the statue, the compositional solution and scientific and artistic approaches to depicting the image of Babur.

It was noted that in preparing the project of the statue, research into the image of a historical figure conducted in collaboration with local and foreign scientists, historical sources, manuscripts, miniatures and samples of cultural heritage were thoroughly studied. 

During the presentation, the President also got acquainted with the projects on improving the material and technical base of the Abu Rayhon Beruni International Boarding School, developing tourism and transport infrastructure in the city of Bukhara, and modernizing houses of culture in the districts. At the end of the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions on further improving the projects and developing them based on best practices.
