Money transfers via phone number to be launched in Uzbekistan

Citizens in Uzbekistan will be able to send money to each other via phone number without a bank card or account details.
According to a new resolution of the Central Bank, for this, the recipient's phone number must be linked to his bank account. The resolution will come into force three months after its state registration and official publication on August 24.
When sending money, the recipient's phone number or a special "binding code" is entered into the bank application. The system identifies the recipient's account and displays its name, bank and commission amount before confirming the transfer.
Money sent via the application is transferred in real time, 24/7.
Thus, once the new system is launched, it will not be necessary to enter the recipient's card or account details to send money.
