Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly agrees to talks with the US
According to the Israeli news outlet Ynet, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has approved talks with the US. According to sources, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi informed US special envoy Steve Witkoff of the decision.
The report says that Khamenei is in favor of ending the war as soon as possible if Iran meets its conditions. At the same time, US President Donald Trump announced that he had temporarily suspended strikes on Iranian energy facilities and said that talks would continue.
However, Iranian official media outlets deny that direct talks are being held with the US.
