Masud Tursunzade was a physicist and radio engineer by training. For many years he headed the Technical College of Tajikistan, and most recently worked in the mobile communications industry.
He headed the Tajik League of Radio Amateurs, was a member of numerous expeditions, and also devoted a lot of time to educating young people, introducing them to the basics of radio business.
