Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia: engineering works of Armenian armed formations in Khojavand have been stopped

BAKU, Aug 17 — Sputnik. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported on an attempt by illegal Armenian armed formations to establish long-term fortifications in front of the positions of the Azerbaijani army.
"On August 17, at about 11:55, illegal Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, attempted, under the guise of agricultural work, to establish long-term fortifications with fire support in front of the positions of the Azerbaijani army located in the Khojavend district," the report says.

As a result of the immediate measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the work was stopped, and the positions of illegal Armenian armed formations that provided fire support to these works were suppressed, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia noted.
