Minister kidnapped in Pakistan
Fazal Shakur Khan, the Minister of Public Works and Communications for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, was abducted by armed individuals in the Pakistani city of Peshawar.
Masked gunmen stopped the minister's vehicle, shot out its tires, and took him away to an unknown location. The minister's driver and a police officer were also abducted along with him.
The minister's official vehicle was left at the scene. Police have registered a criminal case and launched an investigation into the incident.
The whereabouts of the minister and the two individuals taken with him remain unknown. An investigation into the incident is underway.
