The "Unity Force – 2026" joint military exercises, involving military personnel from Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, have commenced in Azerbaijan. The exercises will run from September 21 to October 1.
The primary objectives of the exercises are to counter hybrid threats, enhance preparedness for planning and executing joint operations, and strengthen the interoperability and combat capabilities of the three nations' armed forces.
Military personnel from the defense ministries of the three countries are participating, utilizing combat vehicles, naval and aviation assets, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The three-stage exercises are being conducted at the "Qizilgaya" training center in Azerbaijan's Karabakh economic region, the "Qorabog‘lar" training center in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the "Buyuk Zira" training ground in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
The exercises focus on improving troop interoperability, standardizing training procedures, and developing the combat capabilities of the units.
