The list of contenders for the "Golden Ball" awarded to the best player in the world at the end of last season has been announced. For the first time in 21 years, both Messi and Ronaldo were not included in this list.

A total of 30 players were included in the list of candidates. Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Daniel Carvajal, Antonio Rüdiger were featured in it.

The award will be presented at a ceremony in Paris on October 28.
