The 2026 BAFTA Awards ceremony took place in London, celebrating the most outstanding achievements in cinema. Held for the 79th time, the event was memorable not only for its winners but also for emotional speeches and unexpected moments on stage.

The undisputed leader of the night was One Battle After Another. The film won six major awards, becoming the most awarded project of the ceremony. Its director, Paul Thomas Anderson, received the Best Director award. His acceptance speech was met with prolonged applause from the audience.
