The Ministry of Health of Tajikistan warned residents about the transition to cashless payments when paying for medical services

In Tajikistan, from August 1, 2023, payment for medical services will be fully transferred to cashless payments.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamshed Shodikhon at a working meeting.

Payment for treatment and other medical services in cash will no longer be made, he specified.

The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health added that in this way the transparency of the receipt of funds will be ensured, the number of corruption factors will be reduced, and mandatory payments to the budget and tax authorities will also be ensured.

At the same time, citizens will be relieved of standing in lines, the demand for cash will decrease, and public services will be simplified.

It is specified that 32 institutions in Dushanbe, 51 in the Districts of Republican Subordination, 174 in Khatlon and 101 in Sughd will switch to cashless payments.

Earlier it was reported that payments for utilities in the republic would be transferred to a non-cash format.

Recall, on June 22, the head of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, signed a document on the transition of the state to non-cash payment of payments sent to the budget.
