Mass treatment of intestinal helminthiasis is carried out in Uzbekistan for children aged 2-10 years

Every year, laboratory tests before and after treatment are carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of mass treatment of intestinal helminthiasis in children aged 2-10 years. Deworming measures of the President "On additional measures to ensure healthy nutrition of the population" No. PQ-4887 of November 10, 2020 and "Measures to further improve the quality of medical care provided to the population on" will be held in order to ensure the implementation of decisions PQ-5198 dated July 26, 2021 and to study the effectiveness of measures to cure children from helminthiasis. It is planned to carry out the next round of deworming for children aged 2-10 until the end of 2023 (in October-November). Prior to this procedure, in September 2023, in all regions of the republic, based on the instruction letter No. 02449 dated September 6 of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee, the children of state preschool educational organizations and students of 1-4 grades of schools will be tested for helminths by laboratory tests laboratory tests are being carried out for the purpose of coverage. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken, two weeks after deworming, laboratory tests will be carried out again among the same contingents, that is, the level of intestinal helminthosis in children before and after deworming will be studied. Such studies conducted in the past years have shown their results, that is, the incidence of helminths has decreased by 3-4 times.
