In the English Premier League, Chelsea unexpectedly drew at home with Crystal Palace. Manchester United, on the other hand, played much better against Arsenal, but lost by a small margin.
In La Liga, Simeone's team traveled to Catalonia and lost 2-1 to Espanyol.
In the high-scoring match between Atletico and Sevilla, the final score was 3-2 in favor of the hosts.
