Man who shot and threatened to kill female saleswoman arrested

Earlier, it was reported that a criminal case had been initiated against a man who injured a female saleswoman with a rifle in Ahangaran. He was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison.

The incident occurred in October 2025. A man born in 1992 entered a store in the evening with a shotgun, then quarreled with the store clerk, his former common-law spouse, threatened to kill him, and injured him by hitting him in the head with a rifle butt.

As it turned out in court, the man was drunk on the day of the incident and after an argument with the woman, he injured her and left the scene.

According to the court verdict, the man was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 112 (threat of murder or violence) and Part 3 of Article 277 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code and was sentenced to 4 years and 3 months in prison.
