Man sentenced to life in prison for killing wife and daughter over alimony

A court in the Uzbek district of Fergana region sentenced a man to life in prison for killing his wife and 2-year-old daughter over alimony.

It is reported that on November 3, 2025, under the influence of alcohol, he went to his father-in-law's house and stabbed his wife several times with a kitchen knife due to a dispute over alimony. After that, he also attacked his daughter, born in 2023. As a result, the child died at the scene, and the woman died while being taken to the hospital. The criminal fled the scene. The man owed 10 million soums for alimony. 

The court found him guilty under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 19 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.
