Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Brutal Murder of His Mother in Fergana

In the Dangara district of the Fergana region, a 29-year-old man has been sentenced for the brutal murder of his own mother.
According to reports, on the day of the incident, a dispute over money broke out between the mother of three and her eldest son. During the argument, the defendant struck his mother several times in the head with an axe, causing severe injuries.
It was established that the man then continued his assault, using a kitchen knife to inflict further wounds before decapitating her. He subsequently buried the body in a corner of the garden and the head behind the outdoor toilet, before fleeing the scene.
The case was heard in the Dangara District Criminal Court. According to the court's verdict, the young man was found guilty under Article 97, Part 2, Clause "j" of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
