Man fined 1.5 million soums for biting goat

 

A video of a man biting a goat and cruelly treating it was circulating on social media. The incident occurred on June 1 in Bukhara. The man first beat and captured a gray goat, which is listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan, and bit it in the mouth. The man stated that he did not kill the goat, that it remained unconscious for 10-15 minutes and then walked away, and asked for legal leniency, taking into account his remorse for his actions.
He was fined 4 times the basic calculation amount, i.e. 1.5 million soums, under Article 111, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
