On March 30, a man born in 1979 in Tashkent climbed a tree near the Supreme Court building, expressing his dissatisfaction with the court rulings in a criminal case against him.
After the citizen was lowered down, his health was checked and no injuries were found. After that, he was received by the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Bakhtiyor Islamov, and his appeal was directed to be considered in an official manner.
It was reported that in 2020, the citizen was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 7 years in prison.
The Supreme Court recalled the need to implement citizens' appeals in a legal manner and to increase legal culture.
