Man attacks elderly man for patting his daughter on the head in Singapore

A 40-year-old man in Singapore knocked a 73-year-old man to the ground after he patted the man’s daughter on the head.

The incident took place in the dining area of a shopping mall. CCTV footage shows the elderly man walking past the girl and gently patting her head. The girl’s mother then stopped him. The girl’s father subsequently confronted the elderly man, grabbed him by the arm and knocked him to the ground.

The elderly man, identified as Yeo Song Hun, has been running a café at the shopping mall for 40 years. He said he patted the girl on the head because he thought she was “very cute.” However, the gesture was misunderstood and angered the girl’s father.

After the incident, the elderly man developed severe back pain and sought medical attention. According to Yeo’s family, he had already been having difficulty walking due to previous injuries to his leg and thigh.

The identity of the man who attacked the elderly man has been established, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
