Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on a state visit to Uzbekistan. In Tashkent, he held narrow-format talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and then participated in the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council. During the events, the “Central Asia” International Industrial Cooperation Center, the new head office of Tenge Bank in Tashkent, and the Silkway Central Asia logistics center were launched. At the same time, the construction of the “Ostona” district in New Tashkent and the “Tashkent” and “Ostona” hotel complexes in the capitals began. The parties agreed to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and hold the first meeting of the Council in Kazakhstan in 2026. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also presented the Kazakh President with the highest state award of Uzbekistan, the “Higher Degree of Friendship” Order.
