Two French women have been fined for defaming Emmanuel Macron's wife Brigitte by spreading rumors that she was born a man. The trial against the woman began in June 2024. In 2022, they released a video proving that Brigitte was born a man and that her real name is Jean-Michel, which provoked outrage from the first lady of France. At the end of the trial, it was confirmed that Macron's wife was defamed, and the defamatory women were fined 13,500 euros.
