Lukashenko Offered “Snus” at a Meeting

During a Cabinet meeting, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko was offered a smokeless tobacco product, or snus, by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin. The incident, captured on video, quickly spread across social media.

In the video, Lukashenko asks about the product’s contents. The Prime Minister explains that it contains nicotine and has a calming effect. The President jokingly remarks that such a product could interfere with official discussions and declines to use it.

It was noted that the main topic of the meeting was protecting youth health and regulating nicotine products.
