Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree "On the state registration and use of civil drones", according to which the import, storage, sale, production and use of drones are prohibited to citizens of Belarus.
The use of civilian drones for any purpose is allowed only for "business and professional activities" of organizations and legal entities. For this, they must obtain permission from the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus.
The decree envisages the creation of a state accounting system for drones.
Residents of Belarus must sell their drones to organizations within six months or hand them over to an "authorized organization designated by the government" for safekeeping. It is not known which organization it is about.
Earlier, it was reported that Lukashenko plans to visit Uzbekistan in the winter. Lukashenko said that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is inviting him to Uzbekistan.
