Lola Eltoyeva Wins International Award

A ceremonial event dedicated to the TURKSOY International Theatre Awards was held in Istanbul.

This prestigious international event, organized for the eleventh time, honored prominent artists from member states who have been actively contributing to the field of theatre arts. Based on the results of 2025, winners were recognized in various nominations.

The good news is that Uzbekistan’s representative, actress of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Lola Eltoyeva, won the international award in the category of “Best Theatre Actress.”

The ceremony, traditionally held within the framework of the International Anadolu Theatre Awards, aims to strengthen creative cooperation among Turkic world theatres, promote shared cultural heritage through performing arts, and further develop professional ties in the theatre sphere.

Alongside Eltoyeva, the following artists were also recognized:

• Erenbak Toykenov (Kazakhstan) — Best Theatre Director

• Sadir Niyazaqunov (Kyrgyz Republic) — Best Stage Designer

• Ali Emirli (Azerbaijan) — Best Playwright

• Batir Chariyev (Turkmenistan) — Best Theatre Actor
