Renowned British singer, guitarist and songwriter Chris Rea has passed away at the age of 74. His family confirmed the news in an official statement, saying that the musician died after a short illness, surrounded by his loved ones.

Chris Rea’s musical career spanned more than five decades. Over the years, he released 25 studio albums, several of which reached the top positions of the UK charts. His records sold millions of copies worldwide, securing his place among the most respected artists of his generation.
