Lebanon and Israel launch a rocket attack on each other

Two rockets were launched from Lebanese territory towards Israel on July 6, causing cross-border strikes by the IDF. 

The incident occurred against the background of one of the largest military operations in the last decades in the West Bank, when Israel invaded Jenin, where Palestinians were stationed.

Three security sources in Lebanon said two rockets were launched into Israel. One of them fell near the territory of Lebanon, and the other near the disputed territory of the border.

At first, the IDF said that there was no unusual event at the border. They later reported that a shell had fallen,with no damage.

“In response, the Israeli army hit the territory of Lebanon, where the projectile was launched, " says the Israeli side.
