Lavrov suggested calling Britain without the word "great"

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov suggested calling it simply "Britain" instead of "Great Britain". He expressed this idea at a press conference dedicated to the results of Russian diplomacy in 2025.
Lavrov said that Britain is one of the few countries that calls itself "great" in its own name. He emphasized that these words were not meant as an insult. This idea was expressed before Maria Zakharova gave the floor to the British journalist Sky News. The journalist said that he was not offended by Lavrov's words.
