Lava covers roads
On the island of Reunion (France), the Piton de la Fournez volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, has become active. On March 13, lava from the volcano reached the highway, blocking roads. This is the first time since 2007. The lava flow is now moving towards the Indian Ocean. Security services have closed the area and restricted access to the volcano.
