Language course and exam costs will be covered for those wishing to work abroad

Uzbekistan plans to cover 50 percent of the costs of learning foreign languages ​​for citizens wishing to work abroad and fully finance the costs of professional qualification exams. This was announced by the presidential press service. As it turned out, Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of proposals aimed at organizing external labor migration and preparing citizens for high-paying jobs. Currently, about 1.2 million Uzbeks are working in about 40 countries. In particular, it was noted that the need for qualified labor is growing in developed countries. In particular, there is a demand for 40 thousand nurses in Germany, and 15 thousand specialists in the construction, logistics and service sectors in Japan. For this purpose, joint educational projects have been launched in cooperation with companies from Germany, South Korea and Japan on the principle of "profession + language". Currently, 8.5 thousand citizens are studying in 12 projects, of which 3 thousand have been placed in work. In the future, it is planned to increase the number of projects to 20, increase the coverage to 10 thousand people, and establish a special center in Tashkent for training in high-demand professions and foreign languages. It is also planned to expand the activities of migration centers in the regions and introduce new financial support mechanisms.
