Stages of introducing a new series:
the first - banknotes of 200, 500 and 1,000 soms (since May 10);
the second - 20, 50 and 100 soms;
third - 5,000 soms.
The portraits on the front side and the images of places of interest on the reverse side of the notes, as well as their color and size, will not change. Banknotes of the new series have an updated design and a new effective set of protective mechanisms.
At the same time, all banknotes of the national currency, regardless of the year of issue, are a means of payment in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
